Function Profile Area Technician China
The Area Technician (AT):
· Is part of the Technical team of Hoogendoorn Asia.
· The AT reports to the Technical Manager of Hoogendoorn Asia.
· Responsible for South China Area.
· Responsible for independent installation and commissioning of Hoogendoorn products eg. Climate computers NG iSii, iSii Compact, labour management system Work IT, irrigation- and UV units.
· Providing user instructions of our products to customers.
· Providing product explanations and trainings of our products to customers.
· Providing after-sales maintenance and repairing service
· 24/7 standby service
· Open eye for commercial opportunities to the customer, so deal with customer inquiries that can be filled in with any of our products and try to sell the products.
· Developing and executing instructions to dealer technicians.
· Support Chinese Greenhouse builder with their design requirement to implement a Hoogendoorn computer into their greenhouse
· Accurately reporting in the CRM system and via project status reports
· Managing accurately inventory for projects and spare parts
· Occasionally give presentations for individual and groups of (potential) customers
· Occasionally travel to other countries for installation and/or maintenance jobs
· Occasionally take part in exhibitions
· Make an inventory of customer wishes and requirements with regard to development of new products and services.
· Give input to the Area Manager Sales regarding leads and prospects
· Give input to the Technical Manager and Area Manager Sales regarding new product and market developments
· Make a positive contribution to team spirit and work atmosphere.
· Be willing to expand knowledge in the field of ICT development and horticultural equipment, by way of training, courses and self-learning methods (in working time as well as private time)
· Signal bottlenecks with regard to work environment and come up with solutions.
· Contribution to better work methods.
· Improve quality of work.
· Education: Possessing a degree at professional education level in installation technique, specialization ICT or process automation. Ideally a specialization in horticultural ICT.
· Knowledge: minimum of 1-year work experience in a technical function, preferably in the field of (international) horticulture. General knowledge of horticultural process automation is preferable.
· Languages: Mandarin Chinese as mother tongue, a good command of English is preferable.
· Fulltime function.
